ON THIS DATE IN THEIR OWN WORDS: NICHOLAS II – 21 APRIL, 1914
From the 1914 diary of Nicholas II:
21st April. Monday. In the morning took a nice walk along the shore. The cold wind which was blowing these last few days stopped, and it was very warm in the sun. Before breakfast, received the commander of the 1st Siberian army Corporal Gen. Pleshkov and Knyazhevich. In the afternoon strenuously played some tennis. Had tea with the officers at home. Read before and after dinner.
