ON THIS DATE IN THEIR OWN WORDS: MARIA ROMANOV- 7 MARCH, 1916.
From the 1916 diary of Maria Romanov:
7 March. Had lessons. Rode with Shura, breakfast 5 with Mama on the sofa. Went to our infirmary with A. Ivan bid farewell to us as he is leaving from the Svodny regiment and returning to the Black Sea. Went to Vitebsk community infirmary with Isa, in the barracks of the 3rd St. Regiment. Had tea 4 with Mama and Anya. Had English and music lessons. Rode in a troika with O., A. and Shura. Had dinner 4 and Mama on the sofa. Lili Dehn with [her] husband, Anya and Baron Taube were here. Sat and looked at a [photo] album, then went to tea. It was very cozy.
