DIARY OF OLGA ROMANOV: SEPTEMBER, 1913
From the 1913 diary of Olga Romanov:
“Petrovsky. Friday. Livadia. 13 September, 1913. At first I sat at home because of the rain, then walked around the vineyards with Papa. N.P., S., Kozhevnikov, Zlebov had breakfast. In the afternoon Papa walked with three of Svodny [regiment] troops but we stayed at home, which I don’t regret. I had such a good time with S. and N.P. We sat at Mama’s. S. pasted the last of things for the bazaar. I sat nearby and felt so happy to see him. I did not see him all day yesterday and really missed him. After that we 4 played cards in the other room with him and Anya. Then we played the grand piano for him. When Papa returned, we had tea. It poured all day. Mama has a headache. Went to Vsenoshnaya. In the evening Papa read Prokopi Lyapunov. [We] worked. 12 degrees.”
