ROMANOV FAMILY: ON THIS DATE IN THEIR OWN WORDS. OLGA ROMANOV. 12 FEBRUARY, 1917
From the 1917 diary of Olga Romanov:
Count Zamoisky. Thursday. 12th Febuary. We 2 to the infirmary. Wrote, distributed medicine and made up beds on the 2nd ward with Nurse Shevchuk. Volga is leaving. Changed dressings on Abashev’s neck, etc. Volodya, Motzidarsky, Fedya Baroshkov, Lieutenant [illegible] came by to congratulate T.[atiana]. At 12 ½ [they] left. D[illegible] [was] at the church for prayers. Uncle Mimi had breakfast. M.[aria] and I walked with Papa. Around 5 deg. frost, nice, quiet. After tea 6 o’clock cinematograph. “Tayinstvenaya ruka”, etc. Mama wasn’t there. In the evening Papa, as usual, read after 10 o’clock, Chekh.[ov]’s “Myslitel”, “Doch Albiona”, “Na Chuzhbine”, “Kuharka Zhenit’sya” and “Drama”. After 11 o’clock to bed.
