OLGA ROMANOV. 16 JANUARY, 1917.
From the 1917 diary of Olga Romanov:
Vilkitsky. Monday. 16th January. To Znamenie and to the infirmary, we 2. Did the same as always, made the beds, wrote, fed Pop[ov], etc. Zaremba tried to walk with the help of his 2 nurses. Vilkitsky had breakfast. At 3 o’clock M.[aria] and I walked with Papa. As always, the sun came out. Papa is in a good mood, Mama still tired – [we] did nothing unusual. Vilkitsky had dinner. After 10 ¼ Papa came over and read “The Exclamation Point”, “Well, Public”, “He Over-salted”, “He Poured” and “Chameleon”.
